Love Clondalkin (“we”, “us”) runs loveclondalkin.ie, a local directory and media project for Clondalkin, Dublin 22. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and your rights under the GDPR and Irish data protection law. You can contact us at hello@loveclondalkin.ie.

What we collect and why

Contact and enquiry forms: if you send us a message, we collect your name, email address and anything you write. We use it only to reply to you. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering your enquiry, or steps you ask us to take.

Business listings: we list local businesses with their permission. This may include a business name, address, phone number, email, website, social links, photos and opening hours that the business has chosen to share. Legal basis: consent from the business.

Website analytics and cookies: with your consent, we use analytics tools to understand how the site is used, such as pages visited, device type and approximate location. We do not use analytics cookies unless you accept them. Legal basis: consent.

Security and spam protection: our systems may process your IP address and browser details to keep the site secure and block spam. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the site safe.

Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We use trusted service providers to run the site, including our web hosting provider, email provider, spam filtering and analytics services. They only process information on our behalf and under appropriate safeguards.

How long we keep it

Enquiry emails are kept only as long as needed to deal with your request, and no longer than 24 months. Listing information stays online while the business wants to be listed and is removed on request.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal information, object to its use, withdraw consent at any time, or ask for a copy of it in a portable format. Email hello@loveclondalkin.ie and we will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission, Ireland: www.dataprotection.ie.
